The Purdue University Department of Mathematics has established an annual colloquium named in honor of Dr. Johnny L. Houston for his many contributions and achievements since receiving his Ph.D. from Purdue in 1974. The colloquium speakers will be selected for their contributions to the profession, as well as their outreach and service to improve the climate for underrepresented groups. Dr. Houston will be the inaugural speaker which will take place on February 9, 2023.
